Ingredients
- 100g frozen shelled edamame (or 150g in pods)
- 1 medium egg
- 1 tsp soy sauce (or reduced-salt soy)
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- Pinch of chilli flakes or a little chilli crisp (optional)
- A squeeze of lime
Method
- Lower the egg into a small pan of boiling water and cook for 6½ minutes. Lift out into cold water.
- Add the edamame to the same water for the last 3 minutes, then drain.
- Toss the beans with the soy sauce, sesame seeds, chilli and lime.
- Peel and halve the egg and sit it on top.
Tip: Edamame in pods is slower to eat, which some people find helps with pacing. Shelled is quicker if you're short of energy.
